Islas Todos Santos, Baja California

  In Bahia Todos Santos or Bay of All Saints – are the two small islands called Islas Todos Santo approximately 12 miles off the coast near Ensenada in Baja California. This is NOT to be confused with the town called Todos Santos on the tip of the Peninsula in Baja California Sur.

This is surfing paradise for experienced big wave riders. An underwater canyon creates huge, powerful deep-water waves. Expletives for this area include world-class, extraordinary and oceanic beast.

The smallest island has some of the largest waves on the planet. The best wave break is named “Killer” off the NW tip of the Island in front of the lighthouse. Waves often reach 60+ ft.faces and are definitely for experts. There are also smaller breaks – Chickens and Urchins – that you may want sample if you are a beginner.

The islands have no tourist facilities. There are two old lighthouses and a fishing farm.

The Islands can be accessed by boat from La Bufadora or Ensenada for approximately $20.
