Nice dog-approved hotel in El Rosario (about 1/2 hour S of Mazt). We usually stay there. It has a pretty nice pool-side bar & restaurant, easy return to 15D northbound, avoids the grid crush of driving out the to Golden Zone in Mazatlan. It is called the Hotel YaucoHotel Yauco, El Rosario MX

Nice place. “No mascotas” sign in the lobby, but they don’t seem fussed about pets. It’s a motel-style layout, so you park by your room (not through a central lobby) and enter directly. Decent buffet, too!
