Yax Ha Resort is a beautifully maintained and peaceful campground located in the vacation community of Calderitas, just outside of Chetumal. The campground is clean, green, and well-landscaped, offering a relaxing environment for travelers. All sites have electricity, and the campground features hot showers, clean toilets, and a large swimming pool.
The on-site restaurant serves dinner and occasionally features music, which is turned down after 9 PM to ensure a peaceful night. Although there is no beach, the campground is right on the water’s edge, separated by a low concrete wall. Despite this, many guests still enjoy swimming and the waterfront view. WiFi is available but tends to be slow.
The campground is also within walking distance of several small restaurants and local attractions. The day manager speaks English and is very helpful with any needs or inquiries.

- Directions: From Highway 186, bypass the Belize route to Ave Insurgentes. Turn northeast on this road, which bypasses Chetumal City proper, and drive approximately 8 kilometers until you reach Ave Heros heading toward Calderitas. Continue for 6 kilometers, following the waterfront. The RV park is somewhat hidden, so keep an eye out for it around KM 8.
